Audubon Metals
Audubon Metals processes
automobile shredder residue (Zorba) and produces aluminum alloy for the
manufacture of die castings at its plant in Henderson, Kentucky.
Audubon Metals purchases Zorba
(automobile shreddings less the steel) from shredder yards throughout
the US. Using a unique process Audubon Metals removes the aluminum from
the Zorba and smelts it into alloys used for die casting. Audubon produces
120,000,000 pounds of aluminum alloy annually.
