Names 2002 Scholarship Winners

Koch Foundation,
Inc.
The selection
committee, consisting of the President of UE, President of USI,
the Bishop of Evansville and the Evansville Vanderburgh School Superintendent,
met today for awarding the Koch Foundation Scholarships and made
the following awards:
William Anthony Wargel, son of Bill Wargel, Project Manager
at GKS was awarded the Robert L. Koch Scholarship. He is a student
at Mater Dei High School. He plans to study Mechanical Engineering
in College.
Ashley Lynn Cooper, daughter of James Cooper, 1st shift Lead
Layout Technician in Gibbs' Comac division was awarded the Mary
L. Koch Scholarship. Ashley is a student at Henderson County and
she plans to study science in college with an emphasis on biology.
The parents of the winners have been notified and their award letters
are in the mail. Also letters have been sent to all other applicants
thanking for their participation and informing them of the decisions.
This year the Foundation received applications from children who
had a parent working at the following subsidiaries: 4 from Gibbs,
3 from GKS and 1 from Uniseal.
Each Scholarship Award is for a total of $10,000 paid over four
years of school.
