The selection
committee, consisting of the President of UE, President-elect of USI,
the Bishop of Evansville and the Evansville Vanderburgh School Superintendent,
awarded
the following Koch Foundation Scholarships awards:
Benjamin Max Priest, son of Terry Priest employed at George Koch Sons, is this year’s winner of the Mary L. Koch Scholarship. Ben is a student at North Posey High School in Poseyville, IN. He plans to attend Indiana University where he will pursue a degree in journalism.
Bradley David Rock, son of Jeff Rock employed at Uniseal, is this year’s recipient of the Robert L. Koch Scholarship. Brad is a student at Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan. He plans to study business and neuroscience or environmental sciences at University of Michigan.
The parents of the winners have been notified and their award letters
are in the mail. Also letters have been sent to all other applicants
thanking them for their participation and informing them of the decisions.
This year the Foundation received 12 applications from children who
had a parent working at the following subsidiaries: 5 from Koch Air,
3 from GKS, 2 from Uniseal, Audubon 1 and Brake Supply 1.
Each Scholarship Award is for a total of $10,000 paid over four
years of school.
